Oninit was founded in 1999 as a specialist developer and Informix consulting team, and since that time has grown into a leading Informix services company providing a range of Informix database and application development, Informix technical support and training services to companies in the UK and across EMEA from its base in Cirencester, UK.
Informix is deeply embedded in the enterprise IT systems of many thousands of companies worldwide, yet the skills to support and maintain these systems are slowly declining and are often no longer available in house. Oninit provides the vital Informix technical support and development services which are and will continue to be required by these complex systems.
Oninit helps companies to support, enhance, integrate and modernise Informix applications running on older installations of the Informix database and, ultimately, replace them to ensure a roadmap for their future IT or establish an evolutionary path to more modern open or virtualised architectures. Because Informix is so deeply enmeshed in established systems, the Oninit approach is to look at what more can be done and what extra value can be driven from the systems customers have already invested in, through smart development and good training.
Oninit also works with a number of technology and reseller partners to help conceive, co-develop and field-test new and innovative Informix applications and technologies which leverage Informix’s unique capabilities and speed advantages. Networking with other technology specialists is part of the Oninit DNA and it strongly believes that combining its deep specialist Informix knowledge with that of others is the key to its success. Unlike some other IT consulting firms it does not aspire to or pretend to know every platform end to end, preferring to work with the best of the best in the IT marketplace.
