Biography: Neil Mulkern

Neil is seconded to Oninit on a full-time basis from IBM where he has held a number of business development roles focused on technology partnerships. He joined IBM in 2001 at the time of its acquisition of Informix. He had been working with Informix since 1996. He remains an unequivocal Informix enthusiast, evangelist and promoter.

“Databases are almost always a significant element in a vendor/partner relationship. I have always regarded having the Informix database as the trump card in my IBM portfolio” says Neil. ”I am delighted that IBM has given me the opportunity to work full time with Oninit Group and focus 100 percent on introducing Informix to an ever-wider community of solution providers.”

Prior to working in IT, Neil developed businesses across a wide range of industries including retail, media and leisure. A family man with two grown up children he enjoys long country walks and classic architecture, ideally accompanied by a nice cup of tea.  “The most important investment I make each year is my National Trust card,” he says.
